Welcome to Alyssa Murphy Photography!

I'm Alyssa,
A follower of Jesus, Jake's wife, and mama to Maverik (2.5), Nixon (1.5), and Indy Grace who joined  our family in June.
A few things about me:
I love just about anything crafty, I tend to hoard any craft supplies that people throw my way...totally goes against the whole minimalism thing that I have been so interested in lately.
When I was younger, I dreamed of being a wife and mama. I never really wanted a big career outside of the home.
I love to organize all of the things! I spend much of my free time doing so.
Although our bout with infertility was short, I love talking with and encouraging others who are walking similar paths.
Summer is my favorite season! I love the sidewalk chalk, kiddie pools, and don't forget the ice cream!

My goal as a photographer is to capture it ALL! From the big moments to all of the little moments in between, it’s all about capturing everyday life. In your newborn session, I’ll not only capture your fresh, tiny, bundle of joy , but also their peeling baby feet, sweet wrinkly skin, and of course, little belly button stump!

I will capture your child’s messy cake-covered face from their cake smash, and the cheesy little toothless smile flashed during your family session.

I look to capture those moments that may seem mundane, those moments that may seem like “interruptions” to a session, but in truth are the precious moments that make up everyday life.

Some of life may be pretty, but let’s be honest; life can get a little messy, and that’s okay. I get that. I want to capture the season that you’re in, just as it is, so that you can look back on it for years to come, even if that means smiling back on your beautiful mess.
